The New York/New Jersey Metro Alumni Club sponsored a fun
night at an interactive comedy show, Tony n’ Tina’s Wedding,
at the end of October. At Tony n' Tina's Wedding, audience members actually
play the roles of Tony n' Tina's family and/or friends. These are roles
we have all been practicing every time we go to a real wedding. The universal
familiarity with the union of two individuals, took folks back and forth
between fantasy and reality throughout the entire evening. Dinner, drinks,
dancing and all kinds of fun were enjoyed by 13 Juniata alumni, family
After walking into the wedding/reception hall, the Juniata group gathered around the bar for some cocktails, before making their way to their tables to watch Tony and Tina get married infront of over 200 of their family and "friends". Following a very entertaining wedding, the real fun began during dinner and the reception. Getting the chance to get upclose and personal with the wedding party and the families of Tony and Tina was a laugh-a-minute.
The decades of the 1970s, 1980s, 1990s and 2000s were all represented by Juniata graduates, including Sarah Kimmerle, who received her diploma in 2005. Sarah picked an entertaining evening for her first event as a member of the alumni association. The evening concluded with some of the folks in attendance going out for some conversation and beverages.
