The Central Pennsylvania (CPA) Alumni Club spent a wonderful
evening together on Saturday, November 12th as Dan '64 and Sheila O'Sullivan
opened their home in Mechanicsburg, PA, for a reception, which was followed
by a performance at the Open Stage of Harrisburg. A total of 27 of the
29 who came out for the event made it to the home of the Sullivans for
delicious food - including dessert - (pre-pared by Sheila and Dan) and
great conversations. Tickets for the show were handed out at the reception
and Open Stage Founder and Artistic Director Donald Alsedek came to the
pre-event social as well.
The First Annual CPA Theater Outing had the group seeing "Stones In His Pocket" by Marie Jones. The two-person, two-act play had plenty of humor, but delivered a serious message as well. To read a summary of the story, please click here. Everyone in attendance enjoyed the show and will be looking forward to the Second Annual CPA Theater Outing.
The decades of the 1930s, 1950s, 1960s, 1970s, 1980s and 1990s were all represented by Juniata graduates, including Bob '39 and M.E. '39 Harris, who attended the reception that evening.
A special thank you goes out to Dan and Sheila for helping to organize the event for the CPA Club and for serving as excellent hosts for the performance and the reception.
