A crowd of more than 750 alumni, parents, family and friends journeyed back to College Hill to take part in Homecoming and Family Weekend 2007, September 21-23. Plenty of sunshine provided the perfect atmosphere for the celebration.

The weekend kicked off with parents and family members attending classes with their students on Friday. Among other events that day, guests enjoyed watching Evan Almighty on the Halbritter Center lawn and the reunion Classes of 1997 and 2002 gathered informally at Memories Sports Bar & Grill. The annual tradition of making apple butter at the Raystown Field Station started Friday evening and concluded on Saturday afternoon.

On Saturday morning, parents and alumni mingled with faculty members at a continental breakfast, followed by a question and answer time with President Thomas R. Kepple, Jr., and the gathering of 15 affinity groups. Other Saturday highlights included the Alumni Tailgate overlooking the football game, a ceremony to retire the jersey of Joe Kershishnik '77, men’s and women’s alumni rugby games, and the annual Legacy Reception. Late in the afternoon, the campus quad was crawling with all sorts of critters at Sciencepalooza, a carnival of science demonstrations and stations for all ages. After a candlelight dinner on the Halbritter Center lawn, guests enjoyed the improv comedy of Chicago City Limits and the Classes of 1997 and 2002 gathered for their reunions.

Following Sunday’s Campus Worship Service, the Raystown Field Station was open for tours and fans cheered on the women's volleyball team as they completed a four-game sweep of competitors from the new Landmark Conference.
