Florida Dinner at the Castaways Restaurant

The second stop during the “Sunshine State Swing” was held at The Castaway Restaurant in Tampa on March 1. The Castaway is located on the water with great seafood and is centrally located between Pinellas and Hillsborough counties.
A group of 10 sat down at its table and enjoyed an evening of memory/story sharing and good food. Those in attendance ordered off of the impressive menu and enjoyed the conversation around the dinner table throughout the evening. The most intriguing discussions originated from special guest Betty Ann Cherry, former professor at Juniata. Her ability to engage everyone in conversation is never-ending and it was the case again in Tampa. Director of Alumni Relations Bub Parker ’91 and Director of Planned Giving Kim Kitchen were also on hand to mingle with the curious and well-informed group.
Special thanks to Ethel Hammer ’70 for organizing and hosting this event again this year.
