The Juniata College alumni event Sunshine State Swing continued on Sunday, February 4 at the home of Eric Schwab ’79 and Cheryl Belfay at their gorgeous home in downtown Orlando. An energetic group, spurred by the arrival of Mary Morrow ’43, enjoyed an afternoon of conversation, memories and delicious food. In addition, those in attendance, including three members of the Class of 1979 (Eric, Warren Sheer and Sharon Cripps Nester), were introduced to Christmas in February. Eric and Cheryl spend so much time putting together their annual Christmas display (which is too amazing for words, so please view the gallery), that they decided to hold off on taking down the decorations until after the Juniata alumni event.

Director of Alumni Relations Bub Parker ’91 and Director of Planned Giving Kim Kitchen were on hand to socialize during the afternoon and answer any questions about the College.

In addition, a commitment was made by the Orlando group to hold another event next year, so please keep your eyes tuned to the Juniata Web site for information about the 2008 gathering.

Thank you to everyone who attended this wonderful event! Let us know what you thought of it by submitting a Past Event Evaluation.

Special thanks to Eric and Cheryl for organizing and hosting this event!
