Delaware Valley Philadelphia Zoo Event

The Delaware Valley Alumni Club hosted another fun day at the Philadelphia Zoo with a total of 24 alumni, parents, family and friends on Saturday, June 14. The animals and reptiles never fail to entertain children of all ages.

It was a hot and humid day, so those in attendance enjoyed time to view some of the air-conditioned exhibits before gathering at the Picnic Grove for lunch. After lunch, everyone continued through the zoo at their own pace and got to check out the animals who call the Philly Zoo home. There was an exhibit honoring the Philadelphia Zoo's oldest African elephant, who recently passed away at age 52. A penguin named Scotty jumped up close to the glass so that zoo-goers could get a good look at him. The PECO Primate exhibit was particularly enjoyable and the lions seemed to pose for photographers.

Alumni attendees represented the decades of the 60’s, 70's, 80's, and 90's.
