The Central Pennsylvania (CPA) Juniata Club hosted its annual srping dinner on Saturday, April 26 in Mechanicsburg, Pa., at the Naval Support Activity Officers Club. A group of nearly 60 alumni, parents, family, friends, and current students gathered for the event, which doubled as the annual theatre event this year. After a time for mingling, Dan O'Sullivan '64 welcomed the group and introduced Joanna Acri '04, who gave the innvocation before a delicious meal was served.

Following dinner, Club president Keith Hartman '77 introduced CPA Executive Board members in attendance, including parent representatives Art and Susan Kress, whose daughter Abby will be a Juniata senior in the coming year. Keith went on to inform the group that changes in structure had led the board to close the Club's bank account, which had a balance of slightly more than $600. He called Janet (Claycomb) Batdorf '55 foward to present this as a gift to Juniata representative David Meadows '98, Assistant Director of Alumni Relations. Through the purchase of a window and a brick to be used in the Founders Hall renovation, the donation is intended to honor the memory of Eula (Guthrie) Fyock '31, long-time secretary/treasurer of the Club. Eula's daughter, Joan (Fyock) Norris '59, spoke about her mother's commitment to the organization and her memories of intense preparation for events like the annual dinner when she was young.

Dan O'Sullivan '64 returned to the podium to introduce Professor Andrew Belser, head of the Juniata theatre program, who spoke about the program and its major successes over the past ten years. The group was then treated to a theatrical performance directed by Tricia Bitetto '08 and given by Skye Hatton-Hopkins '09, Rachel Domoff '09, and Noah Denton '09. Following the performance, the event organizers conducted a drawing of many Juniata and theatre-related door prizes. Led by Meredith (Killian) Askey '05, the group closed with the singing of the Alma Mater.

Special thanks to Joanna Acri '04, Dan O'Sullivan '64, and Maria Weinzierl '06 for organizing this wonderful event!
