The Central Pennsylvania (CPA) Juniata Club hosted its traditional annual banquet on Saturday, April 21 in New Holland, Pa., at Yoder's Restaurant and Buffet. A group of 33 gathered for the event as the evening began with a time for mingling. At 6:30 p.m., CPA co-presidents Marsha (Batzel) '98 and Shawn '99 Fabian, lead volunteers and organizers of the event, welcomed the group. Marty (Good) Wenger '61 gave the innvocation before a delicious meal was served family-style.

Following dinner, Shawn Fabian '99 initiated the formal portion of the evening's program, introducing Dr. Lorraine Mulfinger, Associate Professor of Chemistry and Director of Science in Motion, who was the featured speaker. Amidst a science demonstration and showing of the Peter Jennings special about Science in Motion, Mulfinger also spoke about the joys and challenges of working with the program. Following a time for questions, Fabian took the podium for the last time as CPA president and passed the gavel to incoming president Keith Hartman '77, who will serve a two year term. The group closed with the singing of the Alma Mater.

The decades of the 30s, 40s, 50s, 60s, 70s, 80s, and 90s were represented and the group was pleased to welcome Janet and Richard Bailey, parents of a current Juniata freshman.

Special thanks to Marsha (Batzel) '98 and Shawn '99 Fabian for organizing this event!
