HUNTINGDON, Pa. - The post-season accolades continued for Juniata College field hockey, which had three players named to National Field Hockey Coaches Association All-Region teams on Monday. Senior Kim Wagner (Middletown, Pa./Middletown) and Michelle Campbell (Annville, Pa./Northern Lebanon) were named to the Longstreth/NFHCA First team All-South Atlantic Region squad, while Heather Hassinger (Middleburg, Pa./Middleburg) was a second team selection. Wagner finished the season with 25 goals and 11 assists for 61 points. She led the Landmark Conference in every offensive statistical category, and ended the regular season ranked fourth among Division III leaders in points per game (2.76), sixth in goals per game (1.14). She was the Landmark Conference's 2007 Offensive Player of the Year, the second time in her career Wagner has earned conference player of the year honors, and was a First team All-Landmark selection. Wagner closed out a career that saw her rewrite the Juniata record books. She leaves as the program's career leader in points (184) and goals (81). Her 25 goals ranks second among single season efforts, trailing only the 31 goals she scored in 2006; she holds three of the top four single season performances in goals scored, and three of the top five single season efforts in total points. Campbell tallied 12 goals and one assist for 25 points during her senior campaign, and concluded her career ranked seventh among Juniata's career points leaders with 61. Campbell was also named to the All-Landmark Conference First team. Hassinger had five goals and seven assists this season, on her way to earning Landmark Conference Co-Defensive Player of the Year honors and a spot on the All-Landmark Conference First team. In addition, Wagner was selected back on October 29 to play in the NFHCA Division III Senior All-Star game, which will be played Saturday, Nov. 17, at Ursinus College in Collegeville, Pa. Game time is 9:30 a.m., prior to the NCAA Division III national championship game. Juniata finished its season with a 21-3 record, setting a new program record for wins. The Eagles received an at-large berth in the NCAA Division III Field Hockey Championship, the program's third NCAA appearance, defeating Johns Hopkins and defending national champion Ursinus College before bowing out against Lebanon Valley College in the regional final. -30-
