Campus Ministry provides a number of opportunities for students to worship while at college. Students are active in planning the services and serving as worship leaders and musicians.
The Roman Catholic community at Juniata College gathers for the celebration of Mass Sunday evenings during the academic year at 6:00 PM in the Tussey-Terrace Lounge.
Coffeehouse Worship/Weekly Worship
Christian Ministry Board hosts regular informal worship services, featuring students as discussion leaders and musical performers. For more info or directions to the location in Stone Church, please contact CMB President, Ethan Farrell.
In addition to on-campus worship, many JC students attend services and are actively involved at one of the places of worship in the local community:
Religious Observance Policy/Memo from Provost to Faculty & Staff: The Juniata College calendar includes observance of Christian holidays at Good Friday and Christmas. However, we must also be mindful of members of our community who observe the seasons of other organized religions. Juniata values cultural diversity and endeavors to support it. Faculty are asked to extend consideration to students who may be absent from class to celebrate religious holidays. Students are advised to speak to professors in advance if plans to observe a religious holiday will interfere with class attendance or participation. For employees: If your own observance requires any absence, be sure to make arrangements for your responsibilities by conferring in advance with your department chair or supervisor.
